the posix.fail website shall provide easily-accessible mirrors of the

  • Version 2 of the Single UNIX Specification (“SUSv2”) (IEEE Std 1003.1-1996)
  • IEEE Std 1003.1-2001 (“POSIX.1”)
  • IEEE Std 1003.1-2004 (“POSIX.1”)
  • IEEE Std 1003.1-2008 (“POSIX.1”)
  • IEEE Std 1003.1-2017 (“POSIX.1”)
  • IEEE Std 1003.1-2024 (“POSIX.1”)
standards, as well as all intermediate and earlier versions of the specification in a format easy to browse and link. in addition, posix.fail provides the following editions of the C language specification:
  • ISO/IEC 9899:1999 (“ISO C99”) from WG14 N1256
  • ISO/IEC 9899:2011 (“ISO C11”) from WG14 N1570

in future, posix.fail may provide access to additional revisions of the C language specification, including ANSI X3.159-1989 (“ANSI C89”) and later editions, as well as older versions of IEEE Std 1003.
